If you’re like me, you have places to go and things to do during the day. Whether driving in the comfort of you’re car listening to your favorite tunes or riding you’re bike (while getting a workout) as you pass motorists stuck in traffic, the last thing on you’re mind is getting frustrated by a FLAT!
If you have, like many of us, you know the stress a flat tire can cause. Fortunately, cars have a spare tire and car jack that’s used to change the flat. Or you can call a towing service to help change or repair it for you, then you’re back on the road again.
But what about a bike flat? The last time I checked, no one bikes around with a spare tire do they?
Nope.
Are there towing services for bikes?
Nope. Not that I know of.
So now what?
You will likely have to push your bike to you’re destination or try calling a friend to pick you up, if he or she is available.
Are there other options? Well, here’s an idea.
What if you always carried a mini bike pump (along with a tire repair kit, of course) with you? You know, with the tools on hand, you can get back on the road again in no time. There’s no need to push your bike or bother a busy friend.
Think of the mini bike pump as the go to tool in case of an emergency. Cars carry a spare tire and jack, bikes should carry a mini bike pump.
I believe the bike helmet is the most important piece of equipment, in terms of your safety, for bike riders to use. I believe the second most important piece of equipment for you to have is a mini bike pump.
Would you drive a car without a spare tire and jack?
No.
I didn’t think you would.
Neither should you ride without a mini bike pump and a repair kit. You never know when you’re going to need it.
Makes sense?
Yup.
